Academico Viseu beat Vitória Guimaraes 2-1 in the Primeira Liga, snatching the win in stoppage time after the visitors had fought back to 1-1. Three second-half goals decided a match that had stayed blank until after the interval, and the home side took the points even as Vitória Guimaraes created more shooting chances.

Match Summary

The first half produced no goals. Vitória Guimaraes picked up a yellow card for Lohann Doucet before the break, yet neither side found a finish.

Academico Viseu broke through after half-time. Lorougnon Gohi put the hosts ahead in the 53rd minute. Vitória Guimaraes answered in the 67th, Gonçalo Nogueira leveling with Alan de Souza Guimarães as the provider.

Late on the game turned chaotic. Several players were booked in a short stretch, and Alioune Ndoye was sent off in the 90th minute. Academico Viseu then struck again through Mohamed Bouldini in the third minute of added time, restoring the lead and confirming the 2-1 scoreline.

Key Moments

A goalless opening period meant the first goal after half-time would carry extra weight, and it did. Academico Viseu suddenly had something to protect while Vitória Guimaraes, already the more frequent shooters, had to push forward. The numerical swing arrived at the death. Alioune Ndoye's red card in the 90th minute left the visitors a player short just as stoppage time began, and they could not see out a draw. That late concession turned what looked like a shared point into a home win, even though the visitors had won more corners and put more shots on target.

Match Statistics

The numbers sat with the losing side for long stretches. Vitória Guimaraes held 54 percent of possession to Academico Viseu's 46 and outshot the hosts 22 to 11, with seven efforts on target against four. They also won eight corners to four. Academico Viseu were shown four yellow cards and Vitória Guimaraes three, but the visitors finished with a red card and still could not turn that territorial edge into a result.
