Match Summary

Individual scorers and times could not be confirmed against that scoreline, so the story has to follow the match in spells rather than a list of finishes. The first half ran without a booking until close to the interval. In the 43rd minute, Nicolás Demartini of CA Barracas Central was shown a yellow card. No other booking followed before the break.

The second half belonged to home cautions. CA Sarmiento were booked in the 71st minute and again in the 81st, neither with a player named. Deep in added time, at 90+7, Sarmiento were shown a red card, again unnamed. That was the last recorded incident, and the match ended 1-1.

Key Moments

Demartini's yellow was the first break in a clean disciplinary sheet and the only caution Barracas Central received. It arrived late enough in the first half that both sides went into the interval with that booking as the sole flashpoint.

Once the second half settled, it was Sarmiento collecting the cautions. Two home yellows arrived in a short window and moved the card count against the favorites, without a named player on either booking.

The red at 90+7 was the late twist. It arrived after the result was already a draw and could not change the official 1-1, which is why it registers as a closing incident rather than a scoreboard swing.

Match Statistics

Shots finished 1-1. Barracas Central had the one shot on target that appears in the record. Expected goals were far less even, with Barracas Central at 2.63 and Sarmiento at 0.74, and corners ran 4-1 in the visitors' favor. Chance quality sat with Barracas Central on those xG figures even though each team was credited with a single shot. Yellow cards were 2-1 to Sarmiento, matching the two home cautions and Demartini's booking.
