Rangers and Jagiellonia Bialystok finished level at 1-1 in their Europa League encounter. Lawrence Shankland opened the scoring from the penalty spot in the 19th minute, but N. Prelec equalised for the visitors in the 65th minute with an assist from A. Klynge.
First-Half Pressure and Penalty
The opening period saw Rangers claim the majority of set-piece opportunities. They won corners in the 6th, 13th, 34th and 37th minutes plus one additional flag-kick. Jagiellonia earned their only first-half corner in the 9th minute. The decisive moment arrived in the 18th minute when Rangers were awarded a penalty. Lawrence Shankland converted the spot-kick one minute later to give the home side a 1-0 lead at the break.
